The Project Officer (PO) is responsible for actively supporting whole-of-practice Quality Improvement projects via structured in-practice quality improvement (QI) supporting general practices and other Primary Care stakeholders.
This position will participate in the development, support and evaluation of other PHN Service initiatives as directed or where a synergy exists with the QI projects. The Project Officer will be responsible for manage timelines, project planning and reporting with the support of the Provider Support Manager.

This role requires demonstrated project management skills including planning, implementation, monitoring, and report writing with strong attention to detail and accuracy, good organisational skills and a pro-active approach to work tasks, a good understanding of information management systems and/or reporting systems, as well as well-developed skills in the use of Microsoft Office products.
The successful applicant will have understanding of primary, secondary, and tertiary elements of the health system, including health care delivery systems and patient care approaches, such as multidisciplinary care coordination, coordination of care and care standards and protocols, as well as experience in QI and change management.
This role also requires experience in building strong, positive relationships through stakeholder engagement.
