About the Role
For many children, their first experience of sport is through participation in club or school project. As an Inclusion Sports Officer, you play a key role in helping Sports Clubs grow participation through the delivery of fun and engaging sport project and introducing participants to sport and club life.
You will be experienced in delivering fun experiences to diverse audiences in a safe, consistent, and inclusive way.
This is a great opportunity to work across many sports and environments, whilst working in sport, within a great and supportive team environment, with flexible work hours.
This role is based in Western and Southwestern Sydney.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote and Encourage Participation: Drive awareness of the Let’s All Play Project within grassroots sports clubs, national sports bodies, and peak sporting organisations, with a focus on increasing participation among children with disabilities.
- Support Club Development: Evaluate and assist local clubs in building their capacity to deliver inclusive sporting opportunities, ensuring they can effectively welcome and engage children with intellectual disabilities.
- Deliver Training and Workshops: Facilitate Coach the Coaches sessions, equipping coaches with the tools and knowledge to foster inclusive sporting environments for all participants.
- Develop Inclusive Practices: Guide clubs in implementing best practices in governance, policy, and inclusivity, with an emphasis on creating spaces for children with disabilities to thrive.
- Reporting and Feedback: Collect data and provide insightful reports that measure project outcomes, ensuring the goals of the Let’s All Play Project are being met. Provide feedback to the Let’s All Play Project Lead to help refine and improve the program.
- Capacity Building: Mentor coaches and clubs to enhance their ability to support children with intellectual disabilities, ensuring that every participant is given the opportunity to be fully included in the sporting experience.
- Peer Support Networks: Link clubs with individuals who have intellectual disabilities to provide peer mentorship and advice, helping them implement inclusive practices and build stronger, more supportive environments.

- Working with Children Check (or the ability to obtain one)
- National Police Check
Salary and Benefits
- Hourly Rate: $43.08 – $56.22 per hour depending on experience, skills and educational background (SCHADS Award Level 4 PP1 to Level 6 PP3)
- Superannuation: As per statutory requirements
