Impact and Engagement Manager - Sydney / Brisbane

Social Enterprise Finance Australia Ltd

Sefa helps impact-first organisations do more good through expert, tailored advisory services and responsible finance solutions. Since 2011, we've walked side by side with our clients, providing them with the support, confidence and capital they need to grow their impact.

We ask bold questions, challenge old thinking and back the organisations working hard to build a fairer future. Our values – Togetherness, Integrity and Champion – are woven through everything we do. We care deeply about the work we do and the people we do it with.

As a team, we’re all about doing good and having a good time doing it! We’re a diverse group of avid tea drinkers and coffee connoisseurs with a strong case of wanderlust.

You’ll find us in deep and meaningful conversations, always learning from each other. We balance our weekly team gatherings with a healthy love of chocolate – and we’re not afraid to stand out. Look for the splash of colour and you’ll find us!

Above all, we know the work that goes into creating real impact, and we’re united in backing those bold enough to build it, now and into the future.

We’re looking for an Impact and Engagement Manager to help us grow our advisory work, deepen relationships across the sector, and deliver practical support to impact-first organisations.

About the role

As Impact and Engagement Manager, you’ll help shape how Sefa delivers its professional services and deepens its presence in Australia’s for-purpose financial ecosystem. Reporting to the Head of Impact and Engagement, you’ll lead and support a diverse portfolio of fee-for-service engagements – from investment readiness and due diligence to bespoke funding initiatives and capability building programs with partners.

This role is equal parts delivery and strategy. You’ll play a hands-on role in bringing Sefa’s offerings to life while also contributing to business development, market sounding, and identifying new opportunities that align with our mission. Whether you’re supporting blended finance initiatives, structuring payment-by-outcomes tenders or developing practical funding solutions, your work will directly support social purpose organisations to strengthen and grow.

You’ll also help build and nurture a network of collaborators – from social enterprises to investors, government, and philanthropic partners – ensuring our services are grounded, relevant and responsive to the needs of a changing sector.

This is a unique opportunity to join a passionate team at the intersection of finance and impact, helping scale ideas and initiatives that shift the dial on equity and inclusion in Australia.
