ABOUT THE ROLE

The Chief Executive role involves these primary areas of responsibility:

  • Board and Committee Reporting
  • Organisational Leadership
  • Strategic Planning
  • Stakeholder Engagement

As the CEO, you will provide strategic direction, drive organisational growth and consolidation, and ensure Outlook’s goal, to support individuals to participate in their community and find employment opportunities through their social enterprise and community programs, is successful. You will lead a dedicated team and collaborate with key stakeholders to develop innovative programs, build strong partnerships, and create long-term sustainability for the organisation. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership, entrepreneurial, and stakeholder engagement skills.

ABOUT YOU

As a leader you’ll be visionary, inclusive, and kind, with a reputation for successfully leading organisations that deliver complex services and programs to people and communities needing support, ideally within the context of a social enterprise. You’ll be strategically minded but equally adept at ensuring operational efficiency and effectiveness balancing business acumen with a supportive and enabling workplace culture.

This is a rare opportunity to make a real difference in the community services sector, while enhancing your experience within a complex but incredibly rewarding sector in a very successful organisation.

You will have:

  • A passion for social impact and commitment to the Outlook's mission.
  • A proven track record of executive leadership, ideally as a CEO or in an executive leadership role in a related field, with the ability to set a vision and shape and align culture toward a common purpose.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with Government, corporate partners, and community groups.
  • Strong entrepreneurial and commercial mindset with experience in developing and scaling social enterprise models.
  • Knowledge and experience with Government social procurement models.
  • Strategic thinking expertise with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans and measurable outcomes.
  • Demonstrated experience in effective financial management.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.

Not essential, but an advantage:

  • Knowledge of or experience in mergers and acquisitions, organisational and cultural change.
  • Experience working within a social enterprise with a commercial focus.
