We’re looking for a dynamic and passionate casual educator to join our team delivering sexuality and relationships education in Melbourne primary and secondary schools.
Teachers, teacher aides/assistants, and those with early childhood experience are warmly encouraged to apply.
The Role
- Deliver engaging and age-appropriate programs as outlined by Sex Education Australia (SEA), using provided lesson plans
- Travel to schools across Melbourne (and occasionally beyond) or deliver sessions online

Founded in 2011, Sex Education Australia (SEA) is a trusted provider of sexuality and relationships education, partnering with over 100 Victorian schools. Our programs align with the Victorian Curriculum and are delivered by passionate educators who provide young people with accurate, relevant information and practical skills.

- Develop confidence to talk about bodies, puberty, relationships, and sexual health

Employment Conditions
- Casual position
- Work is offered during Victorian school terms and varies depending on school bookings
- Most work is in Melbourne; occasional sessions may be online or outside the metro area
- Three-month probationary and training period, including:
- introductory meeting
- observation of SEA sessions
- delivery of a program with feedback and support
- SEA reserves the right not to offer ongoing work after training if teaching standards are not met
- Applicants must have Australian citizenship, residency or a valid visa to work in Australia
Qualifications and Experience
- Current Working with Children Check
- Current driver’s licence and access to a personal vehicle
Key Selection Criteria
- Available 3–4 days per week (during school terms)
- Passionate about working with children and young people in an engaging, authentic and respectful way
- Strong facilitation or teaching skills with the ability to connect with students (training provided)
- Effective classroom management (training provided)
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
- Willingness to grow professionally and stay informed about current practices in sexuality and relationships education
