No two days are the same in Save the Children Australia'sFamily and Child Connect Program (FaCC), a community-based support, information and referral service for families with children under the age of 18 years. We need you to develop awareness of the FaCC program across the region and assess the level of need of vulnerable families to determine referrals to appropriate service providers.

In this full-time, fixed term position (to end of December 2021, with strong potential for extension), based in Mount Isa, you'll work with families and external service providers to connect families to the right service at the right time. You'll be the public face of the FaCC service, which aims to quickly build rapport with families, assess their needs, and provide support with referrals and/or short-term assistance to help them get back on track. You'll have coaching and mentoring responsibility over an assistant FaCC worker and will report to the Team Leader.

Your cultural knowledge will help you build strong connections with people from a variety of cultural and socio-economic backgrounds, and will help to build strong referral pathways for families who find it challenging to navigate the service system.
