Agile Project Manager

Save The Children

Save the Children impacts the lives of children in Australia, the Pacific and beyond on a daily basis. But we can't do it alone; the engagement of our donors, supporters and retail customers is critical to our success. We're looking for a passionate Agile Project Manager who is ready to join our innovative and energetic Supporter Engagement team. This is a great opportunity for a Project Manager with a proven track record in delivering successful projects and the ability to bring creative solutions and process improvements to the table.

Save the Children is no ordinary not-for-profit.

We're ambitious, creative and outspoken. We stand up for children's rights. We want all children to be educated, healthy and live a life free from violence. We run programs in Australia and overseas and, if there's a disaster - like an earthquake, drought or conflict - we are there on the ground.

Where you come in:

In this full-time, permanent position, based in Carlton* you will be a core contributor to the delivery of projects from within the Save the Children Australia's Supporter Engagement portfolio, with a focus on fundraising and our retail network. You will have the opportunity to lead a variety of small and large-scale projects - making this role a terrific opportunity for a Project Manager ready to take the next step in their career. You will be part of our Support Engagement department and report to our Head of Strategy and Projects.

You will make an impact by:

  • Leading the successful delivery of key strategic projects and initiatives
  • Leveraging your Agile skills to drive outcomes iteratively and to facilitate rapid and effective decision-making
  • Gathering requirements and investigating suitable solutions
  • Working with a diverse range of stakeholders to deliver improvements aligned to their departmental Objectives and Key Results
  • Identifying issues, risks, and benefits of existing and proposed solutions and outline business impacts

Does this sound like you?

You have a proven track record in delivering projects with the ability to bring creative solutions and process improvements to the table. You are an adaptable, highly organised all-rounder, with a high level of attention to detail and a collaborative and can-do manner. Strategic, but still amply able to roll your sleeves up and lead a project through all stages. You thrive on developing collaborative relationships and are equally comfortable supporting a project team as you are working with senior stakeholders. You have experience working with partially allocated team members who have little agile experience.

This role requires:

  • Experience working as a Project Manager
  • Demonstrated agile project management skills
  • Proven experience driving process improvement initiatives
  • Strong collaboration and facilitation skills
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, analytical, and documentation skills
  • Direct experience in fundraising, marketing, digital and retail environments is highly desirable

Working at Save the Children is more than just a job.

It's the feeling of knowing that your work is contributing to making the world a better place for children and working with others who feel the same. In addition to a connection to social causes, you will have access to:

  • Opportunity to work on additional projects alongside business as usual
  • Individual learning plans to assist in your career development
  • Internal employment and development opportunities
  • Friendly and flexible work environment
  • Agile work environment including working from home
  • Child and pet friendly work environment
  • Full salary packaging benefits
