SASS is a not-for-profit community-based response and counselling service supporting people affected by sexual assault. SASS also offers primary prevention education for schools, organisations, workplaces, community groups and individuals. SASS is seeking a passionate, energetic and committed Primary Prevention Educator to join our team. This is a part time position (ideally 0.8 FTE but open to a range between 0.6 FTE and full-time), fixed term position located in Hobart, with some flexibility including working from home arrangements.
Working within a passionate team you will be responsible for researching, developing, promoting, delivering and assessing a range of training programs in various settings and to diverse audiences, on topics such as myths, facts and statistics about sexual assault; rape culture; consent; being an ethical bystander; responding to disclosures of sexual harm; harmful sexual behaviours in children; and tools for working with survivors of sexual assault.
