About the role

In this role, you will be working alongside the Reinforce Committee of Management and members to:

  • Strengthen the organisation
  • Promote independence and skills development
  • Communicate information in accessible formats
  • Support good governance
  • Run the monthly Big Issues Group

About you

As a skilled and experienced Community Development Worker you will:

  • Understand self advocacy and disability rights
  • Support organisational and individual capacity building
  • Create documents in easy-read formats
  • Be a skilled problem solver
  • Be a great communicator
  • Work efficiently and be organised
  • Bring an easy going nature and sense of humour to the role

Other information

This is an ongoing SCHADS Level 5 position working 15 hours per week, preferably over 3 days including Wednesdays. Located in Ross House in Melbourne's CBD, Reinforce is centrally located and well connected to the Victorian self advocacy sector.

Supported by the Self Advocacy Resource Unit (SARU), the person in this role will have access to professional development opportunities and ongoing support through an established community of practice.
