South Australian Native Title Services Ltd (SANTS) delivers services to South Australia’s traditional owners that promote and protect their native title rights and interests in land and waters.

We are seeking Payroll Officers to manage end-to-end payroll for SANTS and its clients, including field-based Cultural Heritage Officers.

This role ensures compliance with all relevant legislation, awards, and enterprise agreements, while maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and cultural sensitivity.

You’ll be part of a collaborative Finance team, contributing to the integrity and efficiency of payroll operations that support Indigenous communities and cultural heritage work across South Australia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process weekly and fortnightly payroll using Wiise and Reckon systems.
  • Manage timesheets, allowances, and entitlements for field-based staff.
  • Ensure compliance with the Fair Work Act, STP, PAYG, and superannuation obligations.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and payroll data.
  • Liaise with staff, clients, and external providers to resolve payroll queries.
  • Support reporting, audits, and financial reconciliations.

What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a payroll role.
  • Proficiency in payroll systems (Wiise, Reckon) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong understanding of payroll legislation and internal controls.
  • High attention to detail, confidentiality, and cultural awareness.
  • Excellent time management and communication skills.
  • Interest in Indigenous cultures and working in partnership with communities.

The role will be based in the Adelaide CBD but with some intra and interstate travel.
