Speech Pathologist – Attention Experienced Practitioners and New Graduates!

Are you an established practitioner, or a new or recently graduated Speech Pathologist looking for challenging and interesting work in an environment that will support your ongoing professional development, relationship building and career progression?

Creating strong, collaborative relationships with individuals and organisations through communication and working together plays an integral part in SAL Consulting practice and ethos. We are an accredited provider of the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics through the Child Trauma Academy in USA. Our transdisciplinary team includes Psychologists, Speech pathologists, Occupational Therapists, and Paediatricians. New graduates will have access to clinical supervision and mentoring and will be supported to gradually access work of increasing complexity, with an opportunity to develop discipline specific skills. Experienced practitioners will be able to access supervision and professional development opportunities, and to work with complex and challenging clients.

SAL Consulting has a focus on working with complex and vulnerable individuals, systems and organisations, working to supporting children and young people; people who have a disability; and persons with mental health support needs and their families.

SAL Consulting provides a range of service types including Clinical / Behaviour Support, Clinical Supervision, Therapy, Health and Allied Health Services, Training and Organisational Practice and Professional Development. Our Consultant Team is a diverse, trans-disciplinary group, with individuals having qualifications, specific training, and practical experience in the Community Services, Health, Disability and Youth sectors.

We are looking for Speech Pathologists based in NSW with an interest in communication and/or mealtime management who has:

General Criteria:

  1. A Bachelor or Post Graduate degree in Speech Pathology and eligibility for certified practising membership of Speech Pathology Australia
  2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and well developed organisational and time management skills
  3. Capacity to work autonomously as well as the ability to work in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
  4. A strong client focus and commitment to learning, continuous quality improvement, and ongoing professional development
  5. Current driver’s licence
  6. Willingness to periodically travel
