About the role..

Are you passionate about making a real impact on patients' lives while advancing your career in a hospital setting? An exciting opportunity awaits you at Royal Rehab Private Petersham! We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Speech Pathologist to take on a sole clinician role within our dynamic Allied Health team.

This is your chance to provide high-quality, patient-centred care across our inpatient rehabilitation unit, day rehabilitation programs, and outpatient/NDIS services. You'll be responsible for the full spectrum of Speech Pathology interventions, from assessment and planning to implementation and evaluation, all within a goal-focused framework that reflects our mission, vision, and values.

As the sole Speech Pathologist, you will have the unique opportunity to further enhance your expertise and autonomy in a hospital environment, while also collaborating closely with our multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assessment and therapy provision for a mixed caseload of patients, including neurological, patients across the Inpatient, Day Rehab and Outpatient settings.
• Case management and discharge planning for patients receiving Speech Pathology input, including attendance at case conferences and goal setting.
• Working collaboratively as part of the multidisciplinary teams in all settings.
• Supervision of Allied Health Assistants and students as required.

About you..

We are seeking a self-motivated and friendly individual with:

Essential Criteria:

• Degree in Speech Pathology with eligibility for practicing membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
• Minimum 2 years postgraduate clinical Speech Pathology experience.
• Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Sound time management and organisational skills.
• Commitment to evidence-based practice and professional growth and development.

Desirable Criteria:

• Previous experience working within a private hospital or rehabilitation setting.
• Previous experience working with neurological disorders including stroke and Parkinson’s Disease.
• Experience with staff, student or Allied Health Assistant supervision.
• LSVT certification.
