We are looking for a passionate speech pathologist to join the growing, dynamic team at RFW to help us reach more country kids.

From our new, award-winning office building opposite Manly beach in Sydney, we provide multidisciplinary health and disability services for children from rural and remote Australia with developmental, behavioural, learning and mental health difficulties.
We provide high quality and outcomes focussed support to:
You will be responsible for providing evidence-based assessment and intervention to children in the context of the family and community using a bottom-up, developmental approach that is strengths-based and trauma aware. You will be confident in working in a school-based model, delivering speech pathology services via telecare. You will have opportunities to expand your skills by working with a large multidisciplinary team, providing disability services to NDIS clients, and visiting rural and remote communities. You will be a contributing member of a large, highly experienced speech pathology team that values supportive and robust clinical supervision and professional development.
You have a qualification in Speech Pathology and are a member of Speech Pathology Australia with Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist status.
You have, or can obtain, a NSW Working with Children Check.
You have experience in Speech Pathology assessment, intervention, case management and discharge planning of children (2 – 16 years).
You are a confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and relationship capabilities.
It would be desirable if you also have:
An understanding of issues faced by rural and remote families in accessing health services.
Experience using telehealth to deliver Speech Pathology services.
Knowledge of early life trauma and/or experience working from a trauma aware approach.
Experience working with children/adolescents with an intellectual disability, Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADHD and behavioural difficulties.
Proven ability to work collaboratively with schools and parents using a family centred and strengths-based approach to practice.

Work with a highly skilled and experienced Speech Pathologist team: regular case discussions & professional development opportunities. Supervision is valued and protected.
Multidisciplinary work we offer face to face services to children seeking assessment services or intervention. We work closely with resident paediatricians, psychiatrists, psychologists, occupational therapists and social workers to name a few.
Established Telehealth program we offer extensive training, online resources, and effective administrative support. We also provide you with an HP Laptop and an additional monitor.

Location Located in beautiful Manly, we can be accessed by bus, ferry or car. We also support a remote, rural workforce and working from home arrangements.
