What You’ll Do

The Senior Learning Facilitator is responsible for overseeing the delivery of impactful multidisciplinary nature-based learning programs for audiences at RBGV. The role contributes to the effective delivery of engaging and culturally sensitive learning experiences which aim to facilitate a deep connection to nature for our audiences, and an understanding of the role individuals play in supporting community and environmental resilience.

On a day-to-day basis, the Senior Learning Facilitator is responsible for the daily operations of the Melbourne Learning Team which includes administration, scheduling, and coordination of Learning Facilitators as well as the induction of new employees. The position requires essential knowledge in education, environmental science, horticulture, heritage, humanities, and/or civics and citizenship. Proficiency in team leadership, project management and education program development are key skill sets for success in this role.

What You’ll Bring

The ideal candidate will possess tertiary qualifications in a relevant field such as Education, Science, Horticulture, or Humanities. With over three years’ experience as a team leader, you bring understanding in effectively overseeing and supporting a team to deliver daily learning programs of high quality to diverse audiences. Your approach to work is marked by creativity and flexibility, allowing you to collaborate closely and communicate effectively with team members to solve problems and ensure the seamless operation of the Learning team. Your outstanding interpersonal and leadership skills inspire trust among colleagues and establish a strong rapport with RBGV partners of various backgrounds and ages. Now, you are eager to take on a prominent role as a leading figure in a dynamic and friendly team, seeking a full-time position on a fixed-term basis.
