Rosewall Community Centre seeks a suitably qualified and experienced Education and Programs Coordinator to join its small but dynamic team. The Education and Programs Coordinator position is responsible for supporting life-long learning, skill development and personal growth of community members through the management of education and social connection programs at Rosewall Community Centre.

Rosewall Neighbourhood Centre Inc. (trading as Rosewall Community Centre) is a not-for-profit Neighbourhood House and our programs aim to cater to the needs of the Corio community, ensuring everyone has access to opportunities to grow and connect. The Education and Programs Coordinator is accountable for:

  • Overseeing the annual schedule of adult education courses and programs that align with Rosewall Community Centre objectives and the needs and interests of the local community.
  • Ensuring ACFE funding and reporting requirements are met within established timeframes.
  • Planning, delivering and evaluating programs and community engagement projects for target demographics.
  • Working closely with the Centre Manager to deliver the strategic plan
  • The observance of Rosewall‘s vision, mission, and policies

Skills, experience, and competencies

The right candidate for this role will have:

  • TAFE-level qualification in Adult Education, Community Development, Community Services or similar with relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in planning, delivering and evaluating community programs.
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to work with people from a variety of backgrounds.
  • Knowledge of adult education principles and community development principles.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a small team environment.

Hours

28 hours per week – temporary 12-month parental leave contract to October 2025.

Location

The primary work location is the Rosewall Community Centre, Sharland Road, Corio.

The successful applicant must have proof of right to work in Australia, and will require a current Police Check and Working With Children Check.
