Ripponlea Kinder is a not for profit, committee run, community kindergarten offering mixed age group sessions for up to 54 children.
Our children play and learn in a peaceful and natural setting that is part of Ripponlea Primary School. We are an exceeding service in all seven quality areas and have above ratio staffing. On Mondays and Fridays we have an Italian teacher join us and on Wednesdays we run a small group bush kinder session at Rippon Lea Estate in the afternoon and have a small group back at the kinder. We are strongly committed to sustainable practices and embedding Indigenous perspectives in our program.

We are looking for an experienced, qualified Early Childhood Teacher to fill a role for all of 2025, with the possibility of ongoing work in 2026. We offer excellent working conditions, including paid lunch breaks and flexibility to carry out planning at times that suit you, in a friendly and supportive setting. Hourly rate of pay is in line with the VECTEA 2020 award, between $34.02 to $58.96 depending on experience.
On Mondays you will have planning time (or at a time that suits) and cover breaks between 11.30-1.30 for a group of 22 4yos. On Wednesdays you will be working with 2 Diploma qualified educators with 20 3 year olds and in the afternoon from 1-4 you will be working with 1 Diploma qualified educator and 10 children, as half the group go home. On Thursdays you will cross over with another teacher for 1 1/2 hours while staff have breaks and again be working with 2 Diploma qualified educators and 20 3 year olds in the afternoon.
It is expected that you are familiar with the VEYLDF, the newly updated EYLF and Child Safe Standards and that you will work in accordance with the National Quality Framework, Education and Care Services National Regulations 2011 and Education and Care Services National Law Act 2010.
