The role:
The Certification and Ratings analyst will be focused on:
- Supporting RIAA’s certification assessment across a range of financial products
- Ensuring the timeliness and accuracy of data on our Responsible Returns information portal
- Leveraging from our vast content to analyse product and industry trends
Key responsibilities:
- Administration of the Certification Program; data gathering, scheduling of assessment and audits, license agreements, monitoring of certified products for material investment changes
- Assess data contained in financial legal documents and corporate websites to ensure data accuracy and consistency
- Assist in the analysis of product certification and ratings
- Use of external research tools for portfolio analysis
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of data on the Program’s member portal and Responsible Returns
- Input to design improvements and user experience of the member portal and information portal www.responsiblereturns.com.au
- Keep abreast of international trends in responsible investing, ESG and SDGs
- Create usage reports for Board and Members on the user information from www.responsiblereturns.com.au
- Liaise with members to understand certification priorities
- Support other organisation functions as required
The candidate:
This position will work closely with the Certification and Ratings Manager (Melbourne CBD based), but will have direct contact with all members of the team, including the Executive Manager and the CEO.
The position would suit a graduate from finance, sustainability, audit or other related field, or a practitioner with a keen interest in responsible investing.
Successful candidate attributes:
To succeed in this role, you will need the following:
- Ability to read and interpret public facing information documents such as Public Disclosure Statements, Information Memorandums, Stewardship reports and corporate websites
- Keen and demonstrated interest in Responsible and ethical investment
- Excel and/or database skills
- Experience with or ability to learn, online research tools and platforms
- Demonstrated high level of detail and accuracy
- Good interpersonal skills, particularly spoken English language for engaging members by telephone
- Ability to work independently and in teams, to meet deadlines
