Our casual Support Workers in the Gold Coast core support team deliver community outreach and individualised core and capacity support services to RFQ Gold Coast NDIS participants. This includes but is not limited to supporting NDIS clients to work towards their specified goals and assist with communication and providing support to attend medical appointments, NDIS reviews, community activities and daily tasks of daily living. Support does NOT include personal care (showering, dressing etc), manual handling or restrictive practice.

Qualifications and Skills

  • A Diploma or Certificate IV in a human services related field or less formal qualifications with demonstrated previous experience working with people with mental illness is valued but not mandatory
  • Valid Australian driver’s license and access to a registered roadworthy and insured vehicle (minimum third-party property)
  • Access to a smart phone to be used for work purposes
  • A strong sense of professional boundaries and integrity
  • Undergo criminal history screening and obtain and maintain a valid NDIS Worker Screening Clearance pursuant to the Disability Services Act 2006 (Qld). NDIS Worker Screen card that has already been acquired is extremely advantageous.
