Richmond Fellowship Queensland (RFQ) is seeking professional and motivated people to be part of its Metro North team.

About the position

The casual support worker will join the Aspley core support team, and will deliver community outreach and individualised core and capacity support services to RFQ NDIS participants. This includes but is not limited to supporting NDIS clients to work towards their specified goals and assist with communication and providing support to attend medical appointments, NDIS reviews, community activities and daily tasks of daily living.

Qualifications and Skills

  • A Diploma or Certificate IV in a human services related field or less formal qualifications with demonstrated previous experience working with people with mental illness
  • A strong sense of professional boundaries and integrity
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a registered roadworthy and insured vehicle (minimum third-party property)
  • Access to a smart phone to be used for work purposes
  • Undergo criminal history screening and obtain and maintain a valid NDIS worker screen pursuant to the Disability Services Act 2006 (Qld)
  • Ability to work on weekends if required
