With significant growth, service innovation, outstanding clinical outcomes and business stability, this is an exciting time to join Queensland’s leading NGO mental health service provider.
A recent independent staff feedback evaluation shows RFQ staff enjoy a culture of success and provides a work environment that benchmarks above industry norms in the Health and Community Services sectors. A best scored attribute in the evaluation shows an organisation that provides a flexible work environment.
The position provides an exciting opportunity to support the aspirations of the most socially disadvantaged people in the community, Indigenous people in the criminal justice system. Alongside one on one support, the position offers the opportunity to develop and nurture relationships with Indigenous agencies and communities. Importantly, the position has an educative role to ensure culturally responsive services are delivered within the program and as part of a wider Indigenous Project within RFQ.
This position is an Identified Role for an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person and is a genuine occupational requirement under section 25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are grossly overrepresented in the criminal justice system and this role will provide direct support.
The position requires a NDIS worker screening clearance. For further information please visit: https://workerscreening.communities.qld.gov.au/workers/you-start
