We’re currently on the hunt for a Human Resources Officer to join our HR team in our Annerley office, South Brisbane. This position has become vacant due to an internal promotion. If you want to join an HR team that believes there’s no place for ‘this is how it’s always been done’, then this could be the role for you!

As one of two HR Officers, you’ll work closely with our leadership and staff and be pivotal in implementing a partnering business model, actively collaborating with managers and teams across the organisation to provide tailored, proactive HR support and advice. This is a purely generalist role, helping to strengthen the connection between our people strategies and organisational goals, ensuring our staff feel valued and equipped to make a real difference. This role is suitable for a recent Human Resources graduate looking to start their career in HR or a good fit for an HR officer with generalist experience seeking a new opportunity to broaden their HR skillset and have the opportunity to advance within the HR field.

Your day may look like:

  • Build strong, trusted partnerships with managers and staff to understand their needs and provide customised HR solutions.
  • Help minimise organisational risk by ensuring HR practices comply with relevant legislation, and that they align with our values.
  • Promote an inclusive, supportive, and collaborative workplace culture.
  • Contribute to organisational initiatives and projects that support staff well-being and engagement.
  • Manage end to end recruitment processes.
  • Support new staff with a warm onboarding and induction experience.

You will need:

  • Qualifications in Human Resources or a related field; or demonstrated and relevant experience in a generalist HR role.
  • Knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices appropriate to the HR Officer level.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
  • An ability to juggle competing priorities while staying organised and solutions-focused.
  • A genuine passion for supporting mental health and community well-being.
