Proudly serving Australians since 1928, the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) provides emergency aeromedical and allied health services for people in rural and remote Australia. RFDS are now accepting applications for a Smile Squad Coordinator. This is a permanent full time position reporting to the Health Services Manager, Dental.
This role is responsible for overseeing the facilitation of the State Government school dental program initiative, Smile Squad, which provides free dental services to government primary, secondary and special schools. Alongside this they will also be responsible for assisting with the delivery of the Flying Doctor Dental Clinic (FDDC) school dental and aged care dental programs, which is key to RFDS Victoria’s vision to bringing primary health care services to those who are otherwise unable to access them.
They will take a comprehensive, hands-on approach to oversee and facilitate service coordination and delivery to ensure the program meets its objectives. They are responsible for deliverables that improve the health literacy, oral health knowledge and behaviour of individuals and the communities that the FDDC service. This will include management of all schools and aged care dental programs, as well as, group education sessions and one-on-one client care.
