About the Role

Fixed term 12 month contract (Potential for extension)

Flying Doctors Victoria are now accepting applications for a rare opportunity within our IT Support team. The IT HelpDesk officerwill act as a member of the IT team providing technical support across the organisation. As a member of the IT Support you will be part of a team who is responsible for coordinating the IT helpdesk and providing Level 1 technical support to internal and external stakeholders.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• First point of contact for IT support over the phone and via the IT Helpdesk system
• Setup and maintain laptops, desktop PC’s, smartphones and tablets
• Provide onsite support across our branches in Victoria when required
• Maintain user accounts within Active Directory
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues
• Escalate and communicate issues to Level 2/3 support when necessary

Experience and skills required:

• Relevant tertiary education in Information Technology or related fields
• Minimum 1-2 year experience in a similar role
• Highly developed troubleshooting and problem solving skills
• MCSA and MCSE highly regarded
• Patience when dealing with end users
• Strong customer service focus and interpersonal skills
• High level attention to details and ability to multi-task and prioritise own workload
• Friendly, open and enthusiastic disposition
