Reverse Garbage Queensland is currently seeking an experienced, well organised person to join our team in the position of Truck Driver for the collection of donations. We are seeking someone who is keen to make a positive contribution to a not-for-profit organisation and passionate about issues surrounding sustainability, the environment and waste reduction. This is a permanent part-time position, three days per week.
Reverse Garbage Queensland is a non-profit re-use centre located in Woolloongabba, Brisbane. We collect high quality industrial discards from a wide range of industries around Brisbane, diverting them from landfill to make them available at low cost to the community through our warehouse at 20 Burke Street.
The position will consist of three days collecting a broad range of materials from our supplies across the greater Brisbane region. The successful applicant will be responsible for organising the truck run, contacting suppliers, liaising with the Shop Floor and Sorting Coordinators, manually loading, securing and unloading the truck, and other duties as required. They will also be required to work an additional day in our warehouse one Saturday every four weeks on a rotating roster in sorting or sales, as well as participate in other work of the co-operative.

Reverse Garbage Queensland is a worker-run co-operative and applicants with an interest in becoming a member/director of the co-op in the long term will be favourably regarded.
Remuneration: This is a permanent part-time position. The wage is $21.41 per hour and is based on the General Retail Industry Award. Normal award penalty rates apply for Saturday work.
