Reground is a social enterprise waste education service committed to changing behaviour around waste. We believe waste is a resource. We collect coffee, chaff, and soft plastics from cafes, offices, retail stores, and roasteries in Melbourne and are actively engaged in changing systems around waste through both applied solutions and advocacy work. We have diverted over 1,400,000 kilos of coffee from landfill to community and home gardeners and helped businesses and households move closer to being waste-free. In our consultancy work, we work closely with councils, state government and corporate partners to lead and deliver innovative recycling and circular economy projects with direct benefit to the environment and community.
We are a small, impactful team, excited to welcome a passionate and committed Marketing Assistant to our team.
At Reground we work 4 days per week as we believe this creates healthier, happier people, a better work environment and better results, too. We are based in Alphington in Melbourne’s inner north and offer flexible working arrangements; occasional travel may also be required for this role. You will need to live in Melbourne to be considered.

We use real-world data, behavioural science and on-the-ground waste interventions to achieve our goals, and we all pitch in when the project demands it. To succeed in this role, you'll need to be happy getting your hands dirty with the occasional coffee collection or waste audit (with appropriate safety equipment, of course!)
The Marketing Assistant is responsible for communicating Reground’s work to the public while also ensuring that this is communicated in a way that respects and enhances Reground’s brand.
The Marketing Assistant executes on the marketing strategy and provides administrative and communications support to Reground’s Collections and Consultancy teams. The role develops content for Reground’s social media, e-newsletters, and website while also supporting Reground's overall external communications across other media platforms, and outlets. The role manages Reground’s point of contact in the form of our hello inbox and will proactively position and promote the Reground mission and values through public relations, advertising and marketing.
