- Position Title: Partnerships, Fundraising and Engagement Manager.
- Position Type: Full Time, permanent position.
- Location: Reach Head Office (88 Jolimont St, East Melbourne. VIC. 3002). Occasional travel may be required as part of the role, following responsibilities and organisational needs.
- Reports to: Head of Partnerships, Fundraising and Engagement.
The Fundraising and Impact Manager plays a critical role in supporting the Head of Partnerships, Fundraising, and Engagement to drive Reach’s funding and impact strategies.
This role is responsible for identifying funding opportunities, managing relationships with philanthropic foundations, trusts, individual donors, corporate partners, and government agencies, and ensuring compliance with grant obligations.
It also leads the design and delivery of program evaluation and impact reporting across the organisation, while enhancing donor engagement through strategic communication and stewardship initiatives.

Accountabilities:
Fundraising:
- Fundraising Strategy: Design and deliver innovative fundraising initiatives, events, and campaigns to diversify revenue streams and generate new funding opportunities.
- Grant Management: Research, identify, and apply for grants from foundations, trusts and government that are elevated and of high calibre.
- Proposal Development: Prepare compelling proposals and reports that articulate the impact of Reach’s programs and align with the strategic interests of funders.
- Donor & Partner Engagement: Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing and prospective donors, partners, trusts and foundations, ensuring they are informed and engaged with Reach’s mission and impact.
Impact and Reporting:
- Program Evaluation: Collaborate with internal teams to design and implement evaluation frameworks that demonstrate program effectiveness and social impact.
- Strategic Reporting: Develop and implement communication strategies to effectively convey the value and outcomes of funded programs to donors and stakeholders.
- Grants acquittals: Ensure all funding agreements are acquitted in a timely and accurate manner, maintaining compliance, governance and donor confidence.
Administrative Duties:
- Event Support: Assist in organising and executing donor appreciation events, grant workshops, and engagement initiatives that strengthen relationships with foundations and trusts.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the CEO, fundraising team and team leaders for programs, schools, and training to align strategies and share best practices in donor engagement and relationship management.
- Systems and data management support: Delivery of sustainable processes and systems for the organisation’s corporate and donor management.
Key Selection criteria
Skills and Experience:
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience in fundraising, grant writing, or a related field, preferably within the not-for-profit sector.
- Writing Skills: Proven ability to write elevated and persuasive grant proposals and reports, with a strong understanding of grant management processes.
- Relationship Management: Strong interpersonal skills with a track record of building and maintaining relationships with foundations, trusts, and corporate partners.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages for different audiences.
- Organisational Skills: Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse data and evaluate program outcomes to inform funding proposals and donor engagement strategies.
- Adaptability: A proactive and flexible approach to work, thriving in a dynamic environment and adapting to changing priorities.
- Alignment with Reach’s Mission: A passion for youth empowerment and a commitment to supporting The Reach Foundation’s values and goals.
Highly desirable:
- CRM management: Strong CRM skills are desirable, particularly with experience on Hubspot
- Socialsuite: Experience with Socialsuite or a similar monitoring and reporting software is desirable

- Accountability in upholding Child Safe standards and practices in your personal or professional life.
- Proven knowledge, skills and/or awareness of keeping children and young people safe from harm, including those from diverse backgrounds and vulnerabilities.
- Possess an outlook to constantly review and improve, where needed, procedures and best practices to ensure Reach upholds the 11 Child Safety Standards.
