Are you passionate about making a difference in children’s health? We are now recruiting for a full-time, permanent Fundraising Coordinator to work closely with our Manager, Auxiliaries and Fundraising to plan and coordinate fundraising events and initiatives.

Who we are

Founded in 1989, the Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) Foundation is the fundraising arm of the Royal Children’s Hospital, one of the world’s leading children’s hospitals. The RCH Foundation has the vital role of raising and distributing donated funds to the hospital, enabling the very best patient and family care and support, and saving and improving the lives of our sickest children. While a legally separate organisation, the RCH Foundation works closely with the RCH in achieving its vision.

The Role

The Fundraising Coordinator will plan and coordinate fundraising events and initiatives to grow the contribution to the Auxiliary and Fundraising Team. The main focuses of this role will be to develop, implement and coordinate the RCH1000 Program, RCH Champions Strategy, Tribute Giving, Christmas Program and facilitate any in-kind support in line with organisation policy.

About You

  • You are purpose driven and committed to the mission and values of the RCH Foundation
  • Ideally, you have experience in working with community fundraisers and stewardship of a fundraising Committee, as well as experience using Salesforce CRM
  • You have advanced computer literacy, including the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ideally, you have recognised event qualifications or hands on experience, and high-level stake holder management experience
  • You are confident in your work, but know when and how to consult others to keep work moving, to achieve the best results and to avoid risk
  • You have a commitment to personal development

Key Selection Criteria

  • Experience working in fundraising and the not-for-profit sector, desirable experience with community fundraisers and stewardship of a fundraising Committee
  • Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills, customer service skills and hands on event fundraising experience
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills, warm and positive personality
  • Demonstrated experience in a support role in a fundraising environment
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, working under own initiative to strict deadlines, managing projects simultaneously, along with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to exercise discretion in dealing with sensitive information, ability to be empathetic in the most delicate of situations and always maintaining confidentiality
  • Proven experience meeting and exceeding budgets
  • A solid understanding of CRM, Donor Management systems (currently Salesforce) combined with proven ability to understand data segmentation and reporting.
