Relationships Australia is seeking to employ an accredited and experienced Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner in a clinical position at the Perth Family Relationship Centre.

Family Relationship Centres provide Family Dispute Resolution (FDR) Services to help separating parents discuss care arrangements which are in the best interests of their children; and to assist separating families with Property and Financial Settlements.

During the Intake and Assessment Session a thorough screening is done to determine if FDR is appropriate. Information and referrals are offered to families during these sessions. 

Throughout the FDR process for parenting, a child focussed approach is maintained and services are delivered to families at all stages of life, with specific sensitivity to cultural needs. There is a strong focus on strengthening family relationships and assisting with relationship difficulties by increasing parental understanding of the impact conflict has on children and  offering  support in the challenges and adjustments during or after separation.

This is a permanent part time position which includes non-standard business hours.

It is essential for the applicant to have current accreditation as a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner with experience in family dispute resolution practice, in both parenting and property mediation.
