about the role

Rawa Community School is inviting applications for full time Generalist Primary Teachers.

We are a Martu community-led school dedicated to two-way learning, combining Manyjilyjarra and English/Western approaches. Our classrooms are collaborative spaces where local Martu Educators work alongside qualified Teachers to deliver culturally responsive, engaging teaching and learning aligned with the Western Australian Curriculum.

• Plan, teach. assess and report to the Western Australian Curriculum
• Facilitate authentic two-way learning, working alongside Martu Educators to embed Martu knowledge and ways in day-to-day teaching and learning
• Incorporate on-country learning, regularly working with Martu to plan learning experiences through day trips and camps to places on Martu country
• Work collaboratively with Teachers and other staff of various qualifications and levels of experience
• Provide a safe and welcoming environment for students and their families to engage in education and the activities of the school

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Experienced teachers (remote/regional Aboriginal community experience highly valued) OR those seeking to genuinely learn and build experience teaching in remote communities - new graduates and early career teachers are encouraged to apply.
• Teachers competent in trauma-informed practices
• Flexible, culturally respectful educators and support staff
• Available for an immediate start or to join our 2026/2027 Teaching Pool
• Willing to live and work in a very remote setting - independent, resilient and a team player.
• Full TRBWA registration (or suitably qualified and eligible to gain TRBWA registration)
• Hold a current Working With Children Check
