Youth Mental Health Clinician - Bairnsdale

Relationships Australia Victoria

About us

Relationships Australia Victoria (RAV) is a community-based, not-for-profit organisation with no religious affiliations. We have been delivering high quality family and relationship support services to for over 75 years. Our vision is for positive, respectful, safe and fulfilling relationships for all Australians.

The Gippsland Youth Enhanced Service (YES) will provide enhanced support to young people 12-25 years of age who are living with, or at risk of severe and complex mental health issues, and who require a greater level of support than what can be provided by GPs, private clinicians, headspace services and school counsellors. Often referred to as the system’s ‘missing middle’, the needs of this cohort of young people are typically considered to be too complex to be met by the primary mental health care system, but not acute enough for the tertiary mental health system. The program will include holistic and high-quality mental health and psycho-social supports that will be continuously adapted to meet the changing needs of young people.
