headspace is the National Youth Mental Health Foundation providing early intervention mental health services to 12-25 year olds, along with assistance in promoting young peoples’ wellbeing. This covers core areas including mental health, physical health, work and study support and alcohol and other drug services.
Relationships Australia Victoria (RAV) is the lead agency for headspace Bairnsdale including the newly funded headspace Sale Satellite service, which is governed by a consortium of local community organisations who provide expertise, support and advice to RAV. Reporting to the Centre Manager headspace Bairnsdale, the purpose of this specific Youth Access clinician role is to effectively engage, screen, assess, refer, provide brief interventions and to coordinate care for young people aged 12-25 years that are referred to the headspace centre who have been impacted by COVID1-19. Youth Access Workers are part of a multi-disciplinary team, including general practitioners, allied health clinicians, community engagement workers, and support staff.
In response to COVID-19, service provision will initially be completed via. video appointments and teleconferencing. The work conducted in this role will then transition into face-to-face work based in Bairnsdale when advised safe to do so. The successful candidate will be working part-time four (4) days per week on a fixed-term contract until June 2021.
A competitive sector remuneration package is on offer to the successful candidates with a base salary of pro-rata $83,563 per annum, superannuation and access to PBI tax-free salary packaging.
