About the role

Reporting to Senior Manager, you will facilitate primary prevention group-based interventions for low and medium-risk offenders living in correctional facilities, utilising adult learning principles and a strength-based approach. These sessions, conducted in person, emphasise reflection, the development of pro-social skills, and positive life changes to support correctional cohorts in their successful reintegration process and maintaining ongoing healthy relationships.

This is a great casual opportunity for skilled individuals who are available to travel across Victorian correctional facilities, including Lara, Castlemaine, Ararat and Trawalla. Whilst this is a casual position, successful candidates can expect work during normal business hours, i.e. Monday to Friday. You can expect to be rostered on for one to two shifts per week. The hourly rate is $62.25 per hour including casual loading.

About you

  • Degree in education, counselling, social work or other related fields, preferably in Male Behaviour Change Group Facilitation.
  • Cert IV in Training and Assessment and/or several years’ experience in facilitating training workshops to adults.
  • Strong facilitation, negotiation, and presentation skills with experience facilitating groups with adults from variety of backgrounds and needs.
  • Experience delivering Men’s Behaviour Change (MBC) Programs (preferable).
  • Fully maintained vehicle and current Victorian drivers licence.
