About the role

Reporting to the Program Manager, you will play a vital role in providing a service access point for men, women, and children experiencing family and domestic violence. You will ensure a coordinated practice by facilitating warm referrals to RAV supports. Your responsibilities will include conducting telephone psycho-social assessments and acting as an information and referral source, ensuring the safety and well-being of partners, former partners, family members, and children of men in the Men’s Behaviour Change Program (MBCP). Additionally, you will provide group work programs for family members affected by family violence, with an emphasis on parenting and parent-child relationships.

This role is located at our Shepparton Centre and is part-time, permanent, working three (3) days per week, including Tuesday evenings. The base salary range is $95k - $102k (pro-rata) per annum.

About you

  • Degree qualified in social work, counselling, or psychology or a related social science discipline.
  • Completion of Multi Agency Risk Assessment and Risk Management (MARAM) Framework training.
  • Significant group facilitation skills and experience working with parents and children affected by family violence.
  • Significant experience in undertaking whole of family psychosocial assessments and safety plans.
