About the role

Reporting to the Centre Manager you work in a range of settings, including brief visiting services to families, either in their homes, online or in a community setting.

This is a diverse role requiring the practitioner to:

  • Engage and collaborate with local maternal and child health centres, kindergartens and primary school in primary prevention activities.
  • Facilitate educative group work programs for parents/caregivers
  • Receive referrals from agencies and families and undertake psycho-social assessments.
  • Provide brief parenting support to individuals or families

This role is located at our Sunshine Centre and is part-time working three (3) days per week (0.6FTE) with the expectation that one day per week will be an evening shift. The base salary range is $95k-$102k (pro-rata) per annum.

About you

  • Degree in social work, psychology, counselling, or a related field, with demonstrated experience supporting children and families through therapeutic home visits and group interventions.
  • Strong knowledge of child development, parenting practices, and family dynamics, including the impact of early years, stressors, and intergenerational issues.
  • Skilled in strengths-based, family-centred approaches with sound assessment, case planning, and the ability to work independently or collaboratively across agencies.
  • Current Victorian driver’s licence and access to own vehicle.
