About the role

Reporting to the Senior Manager, the Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner (FDRP) provides evidence-based family dispute resolution services to separating families, including assessing suitability for FDR, facilitating mediation and conflict resolution, supporting the development of parenting and property agreements, and promoting the best interests of children. The role also involves providing information, referrals, and education to clients, collaborating with stakeholders to address family needs, and contributing to training, group facilitation, and student support activities as required.

This role is located at Melbourne CBD and is part-time permanent (0.8FTE) working four (4) days per week with the expectation that one day per week will be an evening shift. The base salary range is $98,027-$105,084 (pro-rata) per annum.

About you

  • Tertiary qualification in social sciences, law, dispute resolution, or a related field (or equivalent experience), with a Graduate Diploma of Family Dispute Resolution and FDRP accreditation (or eligibility).
  • Experience supporting separating families to resolve parenting and property matters through mediation and conflict resolution.
  • Ability to facilitate positive outcomes that promote the best interests and wellbeing of children following separation.
  • Eligible for registration with the Attorney-General’s FDRP Register and able to maintain all required checks and clearances.
