Relationships Australia Victoria (RAV) is a community-based, not-for-profit organisation with no religious affiliations. Our vision is for positive, respectful, safe and fulfilling relationships for all Australians. For more than 75 years, we have been delivering high quality family and relationship support services, and we now support more than 20,000 clients every year. We have over 400 dedicated employees working from 21 centres across metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria.
Open Place is a support service for ‘Forgotten Australians’ Victorian pre 1990 Care Leavers and coordinates and provides direct assistance to address the needs and issues of people who grew up in ‘care’. Open Place helps people to deal with the legacy of their childhood experiences and to support them to improve their health and wellbeing.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, your responsibilities will include the provision of high-quality counselling and support services to Forgotten Australians and their families. You will work collaboratively, assisting Forgotten Australians with brokering counselling arrangements within their local area. You will also facilitate group work programs, including social and support groups at Open Place and in community settings, as required.
This role is based at our Open Place Belgium centre in Richmond and is permanent, full-time. The base salary range is $ 95k-$ 102k per annum.
