This is a rare and exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced assistant manager at our Melbourne CBD office, to join Relationships Australia Victoria (RAV) in this important role to assist in providing effective and efficient operational management of the Melbourne centre.

About the role

Working alongside the the Centre Manager, , you will use your skills and experience to support them to effectively and efficiently manage the day to day operations of the centre. As the Assistant Manager, you will help to maintain quality service delivery, drive continuous improvement and motivate the team at the Melbourne office to deliver high quality professional services, which align with RAV’s strategic direction and meet contractual obligations. The role may also include components of client service delivery, staff performance review and management, general administrative and management responsibilities.

This role is conveniently located at our Melbourne Family Relationships Centre (FRC) on Collins Street in Melbourne CBD. It is a permanent position, and fantastic part-time opportunity, four (4) days per week, that may require the need to work after hours at times. Ideally, this vacancy would suit a candidate with the below qualification/experience or who has a Legal or Family Law background.

Skills, experience and qualifications

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications which may include Management, Psychology, Social Work, Social Science or Family Dispute Resolution.
  • Several years’ experience as a manager or team leader, delivering strong management support and advice and maximising team and operational effectiveness.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a particular emphasis on developing effective working relationships with a variety of interest groups, individuals, and organisations.
  • Sound judgement, problem solving skills to support decision making in all areas of responsibility.
  • Ability to contribute to the planning and development of service delivery across a range of programs, developing new areas of practice and innovative strategies while focusing on the achievement of long term goals.

What we offer

A competitive salary package is on offer to the successful candidate with a base salary range of $113,023 - $116,209 (pro rata) per annum, additional 12.5% superannuation and access to salary packaging.
