If you are a compassionate and skilled Counsellor/Case Manger this role may be for you. 

As a Children's Family Violence counsellor, you will play a vital role in providing trauma-informed, age-appropriate assistance to children families, and individuals who have been impacted by family violence.

The successful applicant will receive regular individual supervision and professional development. And have the opportunity to work in a collegial environment with a supportive approach to risk and debriefing.

Successful applicant will have the following attributes

  • A Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or equivalent tertiary qualification
  • Understanding of the impacts of family violence on children and their development
  • Ability to work with children and young people and to adapt service delivery to an individual’s needs
  • The ability to provide referrals to specialist services when required
  • Highly developed communication skills
  • The ability to assess risk and safety plan for individuals and families where family violence is present
