Job Description

We are seeking a Program Officer - Examination Development and Delivery, to join our Training and Lifelong Learning Unit, reporting to our Head of Examinations, on an ongoing basis.

In this role, you will be responsible for:  

  • Provide support to the Chair and members of the relevant examination committees.
  • Build effective relationships with the clinicians to achieve the best outcomes possible. This includes working with the Chair of the Panel to manage examination content, plan and develop a strategic approach for examination improvement.
  • Attend required teleconferences and face-to-face meetings.
  • Work with the relevant Deputy Chief Censor of Examinations and related examination Panels to ensure acceptable delivery of all written Phase 1 and Phase 2 examinations as required within appropriate timeframes.
  • Assist with the development of the electronic delivery of examination.
  • Liaise effectively with internal and external bodies and stakeholders including host examination sites and the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER).
  • Assist with the management of examination papers and add content to the online examination platform.
  • Ensure appropriate administration and preparation of examination contingency plans.
  • Work with the team to develop resources about the examination process, delivery and provide support for any examination or on online practice examination for candidates.

Desired Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Demonstrated project support experience and expertise in working within a team and facilitating a team of contributors
  • Experience in working with external stakeholders preferably clinicians
  • Analytical and problem-solving, with strong attention to detail and organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to take minutes and draft documents.
  • Previous experience in a project support or administrative role including working with committees, preparing agendas, and writing minutes,
  • Appropriate tertiary qualification in a related discipline and/or relevant work experience
  • Excellent planning/organisational skills and highly developed attention to detail
  • Ability to quickly and confidently develop competence in new software
  • This position may include occasional travel and will at times include work outside normal business hours.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Office 365 applications
