An exciting opportunity has become available to join our fun and dynamic People and Culture team, as a part time People and Culture Coordinator for a 12-month contract to cover parental leave, in a hybrid work environment.

You will report to the Senior Manager, People and Culture, and be part of a friendly and experienced P&C Team.

The main responsibility of the role is to provide P&C support to employees throughout employee lifecycle through end-to-end recruitment, employee wellbeing, training and development opportunities and more.

You will also support in the implementation of a variety of P&C projects and process improvements and work closely with Payroll and the broader Executive Unit.

What will your day-to-day look like?

  • Responding and supporting with P&C enquiries, in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ensuring the P&C systems (ELMO, Culture Amp, Reddi) are frequently updated with accurate information and effectively used within their scope.
  • Maintaining up-to-date employment files for all employees.
  • Preparing and reviewing employment documentation and letters.
  • Assisting the P&C team with both cyclical and ad hoc projects.

You will have:

  • Experience in human resources generalist support relating to the employee life cycle (plan, attract, engage, develop, support, reward, retain, transition).
  • Relevant tertiary qualification, preferably in Human Resources, Management, or Behavioural Science or Business Administration. Or equivalent years of work experience in a role at the same level.
  • Technical knowledge of relevant workplace legislation and modern business practices, with experience providing quality HR advice.
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal. • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships including the ability to work effectively at all levels in an organisation.
  • Must work effectively within a team and be able to work collaboratively with and through others.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and tenacity to obtain a successful resolution to issues.
  • Highly organised, with skills in planning and prioritising work. • Flexible and adaptable; resilient and perseveres in challenging and ambiguous situations with multiple competing priorities.
  • Experience in a Not-For-Profit organisation, membership body, education provider or health provider would be highly regarded.
  • The ability to maintain strict confidence and confidentiality in all People and Culture matters.
