About the business

The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) is a specialist medical college whose core activities involve the development, implementation and coordination of education, training and recertification programs for specialists in obstetrics and gynaecology in Australia and New Zealand, as well as other medical practitioners and health professionals involved in women's healthcare.

About the role

  • Co-ordinate the General Practitioner Training Support Program (GPPTSP), including processing incoming applications from general practitioners for Commonwealth grants to support them in undertaking the DRANZCOG Advanced training program in approved rural areas, liaising with the GPPTSP Committee in vetting and ranking these applications, processing the funding agreements which successful applicants must sign, and monitoring the progress of GPPTSP trainees as they complete the DRANZCOG Advanced.
  • Produce statistical reports on trainees and training timeframes for CCDOG Committee meeting.
  • Work collaboratively with the STP Program and Funding Manager to develop new guidelines and marketing strategies for the implementation and promotion of the GPPTSP program.
  • Other duties, as required.

The Ideal candidate will have

Essential:

  • Tertiary qualification and/or an equivalent combination of relevant training and/or experience in an appropriate administrative position.
  • Excellent administrative skills, particularly with respect to accuracy and detail.
  • Excellent computing and data collection skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise and communicate effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders, individuals and groups.
  • Demonstrated time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines, set priorities and operate in a team environment within the resources available.
  • Deal tactfully with requests for assistance and advice.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of the Australian and New Zealand health care systems.
  • Experience working in not-for-profit.
  • Experience in the administration of a health or educational funding program.
