About the Role

Refugee and Immigration Legal Service is a not-for-profit organisation based in South Brisbane that has provided essential legal services to refugees and other vulnerable migrants for 45 years.

We are seeking an experienced and industrious individual to join our Management Committee. This role requires a proactive professional person who wants to make a difference for our Service and our clients.

Management Committee members make a significant contribution to RAILS, including by participating in sub-committees, reviewing policies, attending staff interviews, and providing strategic input and oversight.

We are especially looking for a committed Management Committee member with experience in one or more of the following:

• Lived experience of forced migration
• Corporate governance and management
• Fundraising and philanthropy
