Your new role

  • Ongoing, Full time or Part-time hours can be negotiated
  • Based in Deakin, ACT
  • Annual Salary between $106,389.91 to $ 112,495.24 plus Superannuation, NFP Salary Packaging, Paid Christmas closure and other generous leave provisions under our Enterprise Agreement.

The position is the first point of contact for RACR’s funding agencies and is responsible for building and maintaining strong working relationships with funding bodies. The role is key to identifying business development opportunities and strategic partnerships. The position provides expert advice and recommendations around contract management and commissioning.

Duties:

Reporting to the Contracts and Finance Manager, the Contracts and Business Development Lead consults with the Senior Management Team and service delivery teams. The Contracts and Business Development Lead will:

  • Serve as a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), contributing to strategic and business planning, policy development, workforce planning processes and develop and align program goals and performance outcomes
  • Contribute to operational objectives of the organisation by establishing and implementing procedures for contract management and administration
  • Proactively identify strategically aligned funding opportunities and make recommendations to the Finance Manager and Senior Executive Team.
  • Lead development of funding proposals, working with relevant RACR teams and external partners to research, write, review and submit tenders.
  • Collaborate with relevant RACR teams to support the implementation of new programs.

What you’ll need to succeed

  • An appropriate tertiary qualification in business, social sciences / human services, communications, or a related area.
  • Experience in contracting and/or tendering to ensure compliance requirements for multiple funding contracts within tight timeframes.
  • Strong networking and stakeholder engagement skills with demonstrated success in building collaborative relationships to achieve organisational outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesise information to produce succinct, formatted, on-topic organisational documents, tenders, and reports.
  • Experience in coordinating projects that support ongoing business improvements and innovation.
