Rumbalara Aboriginal Co-Operative – Health & Wellbeing now have the following vacancy:

  • Vocationally Registered (VR) General Practitioner – Mooroopna
  • Full time/ Part time – Up to 38 hours per week

About the Role

To provide culturally appropriate, holistic primary care for the local Aboriginal community in the context of an Aboriginal health service.

About You

  • Provide comprehensive, continuing medical care as a General Practitioner.
  • Conduct consultations for simple and complex health conditions.
  • Offer a range of health services, including prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation.
  • Collaborate with specialists and allied health professionals.
  • Make appropriate referrals to services and community health.
  • Engage in ongoing education, health promotion, and research.
  • Assist in training colleagues and other health professionals.
  • Foster continuous improvement in service delivery.

What you need to apply?

  • Registered to practice in Victoria as a medical practitioner with AHPRA (without limitations).
  • Understanding of and commitment to the Aboriginal community.
  • Experience working in a community-controlled health service.
  • Ability to build rapport with patients and the community.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and CPD requirements.
  • Effective teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge and commitment to occupational health & safety legislation.

What We Offer:
