The Queensland Greens is recruiting a Lead Organiser to support local campaigns across Michael Berkman’s Electorate Office and the Queensland Greens campaign teams for Council and State elections in the Maiwar area.
About us
The Greens provides a real alternative to the tired, cynical politics of Labor and the Liberal party. Unlike the two old parties, The Greens have a proud history of standing up for what is right, not just what is easy or what polls well. Over the course of the last four decades, the Greens have become the third force in Australian politics. Across Australia there are currently Greens representing you at every level of government.
You will be working across the Maiwar Electorate Office and the Queensland Greens State Office. The Maiwar Electorate Office works alongside other Queensland Greens representatives, particularly Amy MacMahon State MP for South Brisbane and Elizabeth Watson-Brown, Federal MP for Ryan, and the Maiwar Lead Organiser will also work closely with organisers on the Walter Taylor, Paddington and Ryan election campaigns.
About the role
The Maiwar Lead Organiser will help Michael Berkman’s office develop highly effective local campaigns, support the Walter Taylor and Paddington Council campaigns and the Maiwar re-election campaign, and boost the Queensland Greens profile statewide on key issues.

You must have experience working in a similar setting (either a political office, election campaign or other campaign experience). Experience working for social and political change in any setting, including community-based and unpaid roles will be considered.
The Maiwar Lead Organiser role ultimately reports to the Queensland Greens State Director. The line manager is the Maiwar Chief of Staff and then Michael.
