The State-Federal Election Assistant Campaign Manager will work closely with our Candidates and Teams to support the Queensland Greens’ rollout of both the State Election campaign and Federal Election respective strategies and meet campaign goals.

The successful person will work under the ultimate oversight of the Queensland Greens State Director as part of the staff team at the Campaign Office. Experience working with people from all backgrounds in a friendly manner is a must. You will have experience developing internal communications that brings multiple stakeholders onto the same page to deliver large logistical projects.

Goals of the state election campaign in the nested model

  • Retain the state seats of Maiwar and South Brisbane
  • Win 2 new state seats and come 2PP in two more
  • Achieve 11.5%% statewide or 2% PV growth
  • Win on public ownership with a radical and transformative platform
  • To increase the resources to and support of the Qld Greens and the campaign
  • To increase engagement of members and supporters for a win.

GOALS OF THE FEDERAL ELECTION CAMPAIGN IN THE NESTED MODEL

  • Retain Senate Seat and Brisbane, Ryan and Griffith
  • Come 2PP in two more Lower House seats
  • Achieve 15% statewide or 2% PV growth
  • Win on public ownership and climate change with a radical and transformative platform
  • To increase the resources to and support of the Qld Greens and the campaign
  • To increase engagement of members and supporters for a win.

GOALS OF THE ROLE

  • To recruit the campaign team to organise and deliver a vibrant event and volunteer program as part of a high profile community
    campaign

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with the statewide Election Campaign and support the Candidates and Teams
  • Provide assistance advice and support to Candidates and Teams regarding visibility campaigning tactics and strategy around:
    • a. Launches and online presence
    • b. Local media and public statements
    • c. Community meetings and relationship building
    • d. Campaign forums and events
    • e. Flyer and material development and distribution
    • f. Signage and local advertising
    • g. Prepoll and Election Day booths
  • Provide assistance advice and support to Candidates and Teams regarding team culture, morale and volunteer management
  • Provide assistance advice and support to Candidates and Teams regarding finances and fundraising
  • Provide assistance advice and support to Candidates and Teams regarding candidate care and good governance
  • Provide assistance advice and support to Candidates and Teams regarding messaging and materials
  • Provide assistance advice and support to Candidates and Teams regarding planning and reporting
  • All other duties as directed

The role is 0.6 FTE (3 days per week) QG Level 3 from June 2024 to May 2025 (subject to change if the federal election is called early) and based in the Qld Greens State Office in Milton.
