Take your career in land conservation further - join our Ranger base at Heathlands supporting a team of Rangers working across the Northern Queensland National Parks. 

You will be part of the delivery of work programs on Queensland Park and Wildlife Service (QWPS) and Cape York Peninsula Aboriginal Land (CYPAL) managed areas, and your work will be varied, stimulating, and your office view will be stunning!

Outdoor duties such as pest, weed and fire management, infrastructure maintenance, compliance and visitor management.

You'll form invaluable professional relationships with Traditional Owners, various commonwealth and state agencies and stakeholders. You'll also create a positive, safe, diverse, and inclusive culture. Together, we achieve more. Our visitors come from all walks of life, and so do we. Our teams bring their full self to the job every day, helping drive innovation for us.

About you:

  • Your skills and knowledge of natural land management strategies will help build your success in this role
  • Your knowledge and experience working with First Nations People to achieve cultural and ecological conservation outcomes will be highly regarded
  • Experience in pest, weed and fire management will allow you to excel in this role
  • You'll be a strong decision-maker with the ability to think on your feet
  • You will process a genuine interest in team work, collaboration and supporting the growth of others
  • Your fitness and enthusiasm will enable you to thrive and succeed in this diverse, fast-paced role
  • You will have experienced remote living
