ADA Australia is seeking applications for full-time Multicultural Development Officers in Toowoomba and Ipswich. These roles are SACS level 5.1 position under the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010. The roles will commence as soon as possible.
The role of the Multicultural Development Officer is to build the capacity of people from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) backgrounds in the Darling Downs and West Moreton areas to navigate the aged care system by increasing their knowledge and awareness of aged care services.
The successful candidate will build and sustain networks with individuals and groups in the multicultural sector to increase knowledge about the aged care system and other supports in the community.
A key part of the role is to provide information, guidance and support to clients from CALD backgrounds so that they have the choice and capacity to access the relevant supports that they may require.

We encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people with disability, the LGBTIQ+ community and people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
We are committed to ensuring an accessible and inclusive work environment to enable people with disability to participate fully in all aspects of employment wherever possible by offering reasonable adjustments including adjustments in our recruitment, selection and appointment processes.
