  • Quarterly profit share arrangement (once 6 months have been completed)
  • $1,000 per year financial wellbeing bonus

  • Based on Gadigal Land in Surry Hills, Sydney

Why Us?

Working at Pure Finance means being part of a team that's passionate about changing finance for the better. Here are some of the things we love about our workplace that we think you will too:

  • A fun, collaborative workplace culture with a daily team coffee (on us!)

  • Opportunity to learn and grow in a purpose-led financial services organisation

About the Role

As a key member of our purpose-driven team, you'll be central to our mission of making finance more accessible, ethical and supportive.

In this role, you'll act as a crucial link between our clients and their financial goals - helping to guide them through loan documentation, answering their questions, and being an empathetic and reassuring voice, helping to make the complex world of mortgages feel more manageable.

Combining operational excellence and a relationship-focused approach to client care, you'll work directly with our team of loan advisers to ensure every client receives the attentive, high quality, purpose-centred service that sets Pure Finance apart.

Your work will also directly contribute to our impact giving model, Pure Community, which sees 5% of total company revenue committed to supporting social and environmental initiatives.

About Us

Pure Finance is a certified B Corp, passionate about championing and modelling a purpose-driven approach to mortgage broking. We're a small but innovative team, working hard to challenge the industry's profit-centric status quo by measuring our success in the successes of our team, our clients, our wider community, and our planet — and not just our bottom line.

We like to operate within a collaborative environment, where all team members enjoy a level of self-direction and autonomy. We value collective decision-making and encourage the sharing of ideas, where all contributions are valued, regardless of role or title.

Beyond our work, we're a team that values connection as well as taking the time to enjoy some of the other 'good' things life has to offer, including good coffee (a daily ritual!), good food and good wine. Our semi-regular, company funded team dinners and outings ensure we balance our passion for our work with meaningful time together outside the office.

Who You Are

You're someone who:

  • Is highly organised and takes pride in getting the details right
  • Thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Is a ‘people person’ and genuinely cares about creating positive change in the lives of others
  • Is self-motivated and comfortable working autonomously
  • Communicates effectively and respectfully with people of all backgrounds, adapting your approach to meet diverse needs
  • Will approach a challenge with creativity and a solutions-focused mindset
  • Has a strong ethical compass that guides your work and decisions
  • Feels a genuine connection to our mission of transforming finance into a tool for social and environmental good

What You'll Do

In your role as our new Client and Company Support person, you’ll be responsible for providing outstanding and proactive support to clients throughout their financial journey, which includes:

  • Communicating with clients (email, phone, video meeting and face to face meetings) and providing easy to understand, jargon-free information to help them make informed, values-aligned financial decisions
  • Helping people to understand how much they can borrow and how much it will cost to purchase a property across various states in Australia
  • Analysing a client’s financial information in order to understand their goals and needs, and provide tailored financial proposals, including ethical bank information and options where applicable
  • Assist with loan documentation, loan applications, and settlement processes
  • Coordinate with lenders, solicitors, and other stakeholders to ensure a timely and smooth process/client experience
  • Assist with running our ‘Annual Loan Review’ program that has helped save our clients over $2,082,574 since 2019
  • Provide support with administrative tasks and our community-focused initiatives
  • Contribute to our social impact projects, including YOURS – a no-interest loan program

For your first 6 months, you'll focus primarily on supporting existing clients with annual rate reviews, loan maintenance, and providing summaries of new loan information, as you get settled in. During this period, you'll also receive comprehensive, on-the-job training from existing team members, helping you build capabilities across the entire spectrum of your new role. This gradual approach is designed to ensure you feel both comfortable and confident before taking on the full list of responsibilities pertaining to the position.

Qualifications and Experience

While finance industry experience is helpful, it is not a prerequisite for this position. We're more interested in finding someone who resonates with our mission and who will bring the right skills and attitude to the role. Here’s what we hope you’ll bring to the table (while we teach you the rest!)

We're looking for:

  • Strong organisational and time management abilities
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively and meet deadlines
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to distil and explain concepts as clearly and simply as possible in a jargon-heavy industry
  • Ability to be discerning and keep client information confidential
  • Comfortable completing a range of calculations (calculator and support provided!)
  • Proficiency with digital tools and quick to learn new systems (i.e. Microsoft 365, CRM Systems)
  • Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach
  • Comfortable working in a highly collaborative environment, where all team members are encouraged to work with, and learn from, each other.
  • A strong alignment with our values as an organisation and our purpose-driven business model
