Senior Support Worker - NDIS Participant

Private Recruiter

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Support Worker to join a NDIS participant’s small, values-driven team. This role is best suited to someone with a strong grounding in disability justice, and a critically reflective, trauma-informed approach to support work.

Support involves a mix of in-home assistance (such as domestic tasks and self-care) and community access, including attending appointments, engaging in creative pursuits, and exploring safe, meaningful ways to connect socially.

This role requires a high level of initiative, emotional intelligence, and the ability to work confidently.

However, if you feel aligned with the participant’s values and think you could be a great fit, even if you don’t meet every criteria, we encourage you to apply.

You'll be working with a participant in their 30s with physical, neurodevelopment and psychosocial disabilities so experience with supporting people in these areas with particular trauma informed approaches is essential.

Who You Are

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Is grounded in or committed to a disability justice framework.
  • Has experience supporting physical, neurodevelopment and psychosocial disability.
  • Practices strong professional boundaries with warmth, humour, and kindness.
  • Is queer- and trans-affirming, culturally safe, and values a high level of practice
  • Is reliable, self-directed, and comfortable working with flexible routines.
  • Has a strong ethical decision-making framework
  • Can recognise gaps, engage in critical self-reflection, and is committed to ongoing learning and growth
